Hampton Roads Club Mini

If y'all remember a couple of years ago we had a spring fling out to Buena Vista, VA to Franks 4 the Memories. An awesome hot dog stand that serves SO much more. Buena Vista is a gorgeous little town with a beautiful downtown area. Oh, and an added bonus, there are some really great roads out that way.

I'll get up with the new MINI groups in Richmond and Roanoke and see if they wanna meet up. Last time we met up at the northern end of the Blue Ridge Parkway. We can do that again and take that down to the Bueana Vista exit. And there are some real great roads for the rod back home.

Any interest?

Okay, scratching the October date. I'll need that weekend to do the final pre run for the FCR. Thinking early November now.

However, here are some specifics I'm planning on the Buena Vista Run:

Hopefully, we can get the Star City MINI guys to do a run  up to BV and visit with us. Likewise, I'd like to see the Richmond MINI guys meeting up with us too. Of course, it'll be great to see some DC and Tar Heel MINI's there too.

HR MINI's plans will include a 7 AM departure from HR land to exit 99 on I-64 in Afton at the northern end of the blue Ridge Pkwy. We'll hit the pkwy around 11 AM.
After a few stop along the BRP, we'll hit BV about 1PM
We'll spend a couple of hours eating and hanging around downtown BV.
Somewhere around 3PM we'll hit the parkway headed south for a few miles to a neat over look that crosses the James river.
Around 4:30 we'll head east to Galt's Mill rd and follow the James River north to Rte 60 for the ride back to HRville.

Should be a good 14 hour day, but we're supposed to like motoring,right?

Yea, probably oughtta fix that!

You figured out a date for this event yet?  My calendar is starting to firm up a bit so I can figure out which weekends I have available.  If I can make it work, I normally do a Turkey Strut Rally for THMMC in November.  If the dates work, I might be able to schedule it so we leave from NC and head up to BV for an intercept.
