Wheel/TPMS questions
«

I've been shopping Ebay and Craig's list for some extra wheels for winter use or some OEM 17s for summer use and use the stock 15s for winter but, are the TPMS sensors all the same? I have a 2010 clubman but I've been reading that Mini changed the sensors in 2010 so, will older Mini wheels with older TPMS sensors work with my 2010 Clubman?

They changed in 2010. I have a set of late 2007-2009 and a set of 2010-2012 for sale if you're interested.

I have a set of 2007 17" crown spokes for sale. No TPMSs with them though.

@Mike,
Thanks, I am interested. Give me a call and let me know how much you want for them, 870-9469cell. Having the right TPMS sensors will be a step in the right direction and open up more choices too.
@Warped
I haven't settled on a particular pattern for the wheels that I like the best yet. So, I'm gonna keep looking, but thanks and I'll keep them in mind.

The first gen TPMS is actually located on the car and not in the wheel like so many are. That will allow for TPMS to work regardless of wheel style. Even if you opt to go away from run flats. If they put the sensor in the wheel on second gen cars, that would be fairly easy to handle as well, just be sure you purchase a wheel that allows for TPMS to be either mounted valve stem style, or the older band that wraps around the entire wheel itself.
Hope this helps.
