So I just wanted to say hey to everyone and introduce myself. My name's Matt and I just bought a 2005 Mini Cooper 2dr Hatchback. Bright Red, White Roof. Pictures will come soon :) I joined here because since I am new to this car I would really appreciate feedback from people in my local area on Maintenance and good practices to keep this car looking and driving as well as the first day it came off the line!

Welcome and that's a very smart reason to get involved with a club. Chances are anything that you run into, one of our members has experienced and has usually found a more economical alternative that visiting a dealer. Though we do love our dealers. Not to mention, we do a bunch of fun stuff with our cars, like our run this weekend over to Chincoteague and lots of social events like our dinner tomorrow night at the Freemason Abbey in downtown Norfolk. On a down side, peer pressure really sucks and you'll soon experience the "keeping up with the Jones's". You won't want to add modifications one at a time, you'll want to add EVERYTHING at once......trust me!  |

I can't wait to start getting involved in your excursions!
As far as the maintenance that is what I assumed, I've heard that Minis have "Quirks" about them and who better to help answer questions than people who own them already :)
I have already been researching Mods for it haha, since I'm going back to school soon I should start getting the ones I want now rather than later...We will see!
On a side note, I can't help but notice that your last name is Blankenship and your in Poquoson, would you happen to be related to Tyler Blankenship?

That depends. If he owes you money or otherwise pped you off somewhere along the line, then no. If not, yea he's mine! You probably know he also has a MINI. How do ya know the silly little guy? |

No he doesn't owe me any money at all, and never upset me haha
I used to hang out with him a few years ago before I bought my house. I honestly do not even remember where I met him but remember him having the bright yellow and black Mini :) Tell him you met Matty Bell and he will know who you are talking about :)
