British cars have always intregued me.... My aunt in France bought a Mini Morris in 1973 that she let me use when I took my bride to visit where I spent most of my summers growing up (if that is ever possible!)... it was a BLAST... to drive,,,,until you tried to put it into reverse.. Then I had a Series I, E-Type Jag in 75. It was a fun car, it is the only "performance" car my wife ever liked. Of course, the electrics were Lucas...

Well, as many of you know...kids change life! For the next 18 years after 1984 I had to drive "sensible Daddy cars"

Bummer. So, when she went off to Virginia Tech, I gave her my Ford Explorer Sport and went looking for a "performance" car. To make a long story short, I got into BMW and currently own an E36 M3 and E24 M6 (dedicated track car). In 2003 my youngest daughter and I went to see "The Italian Job." Afterwards anytime she saw a MINI she would squeel and yell, "MINI!!" And I did the same thing...much to my wife's chagrin. It took me back to driving my Aunt's Mini Morris...well I wanted one. But justifying another vehicle in the driveway to my wife was difficult...but I did learn to speak Klingon! And, Finally, by being patient and eating all my vegitables, a friend had a 2002 Mini Cooper Hatchback, Pure Silver and Black top he wanted to sell "...to a good home." It was in good shape and the price was such that I just couldn't refuse

The guy my friend bought it from was a quintesential MINI owner.... it is lowered, CAI, Big brake kit, Remos exhaust, etc. So, I now have a new toy!!
Well, here I am! I am really looking forward to meeting you all and participating. I'll be retiring in MAR, so am loooking forward to the fun!!
