Even if it weren't for the best MINI Cooper club in VA's Christmas party (Okay,how many are there anyway?!) the food at this place is great. And the staff really appreciates our business. Not to mention it's a pretty cool, quaint little place.
We've done this before and it's a great time and a very relaxed atmosphere. Mark this on your calendar and RSVP Kathy ASAP for this happening. Also, don't forget the gift exchange. Around $20 bucks and it should very much be a MINI related gift. Do a quick search for MINI vendors, like Moss Motors or Way Motor Works or even amazon.com or ebay. That'll accomplish two things, you'll get a cool gift for somebody AND you'll be helping out a vendor that supports the MINI community.

Not sure but I might actually make this one? I was planing to come out and check out the Chesapeake/VA Beach area anyway cause me and the wife are planning on possibly moving out that direction.
I'm going to look at some houses in Chesapeake and I was also considering the Hampton area as well,looking for a tour guide if possible? I'm probably going to show up friday and Saturday,but now I have to think about it cause I'd like to be there Sunday,and I have enough cash for one night at a hotel? But I am off all three days from work...suggestions on where I should go and what to check out are welcome..

I'm on the 85% attending list ... I spend so much time with the HR Mini'ers it only seems right to join you for the holiday celebration. Not sure if it will be a day trip or overnight .. technically have to work on Monday. Kathy I'll send you an email to confirm ..
I'm going to post this to the Tar Heel site in case anyone else wants to head out .. we've cross-mingled throughout the year and there may be (let me know if that's a problem and I'll delete the post..

Absolutely not a problem Susan! We'd love to have as many as possible,we justneed a head count for the restaurant. As for that co mingling thing, I didn't make as near as many trips down y'all was as I had planned in 2011. I am here to put it on record that I'll be down more often for 2012. It would be good to see ya Sunday, but we all understand having to work on Monday. |

It's an absolutely gorgeous day outside and would be perfect for a MINI drive .. alas, I believe a couple of miles from home is as far as my MINI is going to venture today .. too many chores, and Christmas cards still unsent to be able to make the trip for dinner. I also looked at my work schedule for the morning and have a can't-miss meeting at 9am; the idea of a 430am alarm to get there from HR on time sealed the can't-make-it decision. You know I would love to celebrate the Holiday's with y'all, it's been a fun MINI year, and I have appreciated your support through this personally challenging year more than I can ever express .. I, for one, am looking forward to the new year .. keep me posted on any plans for that, I definitely don't have to work the next day! Enjoy yourselves (but be safe!!!) ... I'll miss you and am wishing you all the best this holiday season! |

Good times guys! Going to have to do it again soon it really cool meeting everyone and hanging out and I will enjoy my new Rubbish Bag.
I got back safe only had on close call with a deer but thanks to the agile handleing of the mini cooper both me and the deer are fine with no incident!
Speaking of deer merry Christmas and see in the new year!
