No mention so far of any twisty roads to be driven upon. Just some lunch and dinner. Is a map of some kind in the works?
When we ran the Classics on the Smithfield side of the river, I recall some pretty fun roads for the spirited driver challenge!

Howard Collins, a.k.a BIMINI on this site, set up the whole thing. He would be the person to ask, as he has some pretty good mapping skills. All I did was follow along an enjoy the bejesus out of it all.

Dinner plans are set for the Country Farmhouse Restaurant in Surry, VA. We have MINI hamburgers, MINI BBQ & MINI Crabcakes with beans fries and coleslaw!
Kudos to Herb for making those arrangements!
Still working on the parking garage, seems the local York County official is stonewalling, but I haven't given up yet. With over 300 parking spaces available, I don't think we'll cramp their style too much on a March Saturday morning. Said official somehow feels different. Not surrendering yet! Herb is working on a great fall back (just in case!)
I'm waiting to hear back from two local hotels for rates for our out of town guests!
Do we want to have a Friday night dinner with everyone? That could be fun!

Have posted details as they are known to the Tar Heel forum .. hopefully make a joint venture out of it .. keep me posted on the Friday night details .. ie if there is a "host" hotel and any dinner plans. Also, do we need to make reservations for the ferry?

I know in previous runs of this, there are usually a couple groups that break off from the dinner in Surry and head out different directions based on where they are going. I don't know if we have any follow on runs set up yet. I know I head out in a direction to lead to the southside when I leave the dinner.

Is this run only 30 miles? Or, am I missing something here? Yep, not a long run, but lots of MINI fun. The Parkway is a nice ride along the York and James Rivers, the Ferry ride is relaxing and the Colonial Farmhouse restaurant is a charming little place. AND...it's for charity! |

Well, yea, I know where we end up, I just don't know where everybody that's coming lives. All major metro areas and roadways are easy to get to from Surry. |
