Got tired of the generic PHPbb logo up top so changed it to a picture of my old silk green MC. Fuzzy asked if that was the first car from the club and I didn't know. Don and Steph and Obe all have 2002 cars, and maybe some others here do too.
So, I took delivery of my SG MC in June 2002. It was the first car in the US ordered to user specs, confirmed by MINIAC on MINI2. Did anyone here take delivery from dealer stock any earlier?

not thats still on the road. My first MINI long since totaled.. was a 11-01 build bought and driven in April of 02. I still have my Original Motorist Sticker that was given to the First 100 MINI's Sold in the USA.
Btw the First of the three pic in my sig is the 02 car. It was the Show room display car. Which they didnt want to sell to me at first. then when i produced a Pen and 25G in Cash that i Plopped down in Front of Barry. (Crown MINI Main Salesperson at the time). 1 Hr later it was wax, gas and filled with tons of Dealer Gifts. Then driven away to its new Home. Where shortly afterwards (7months later). It was force off the road going down hill off of Afton mountain.

I have someone in my neighborhood who I see from time to time driving one that fits the description to a T. I'm not sure of the year, but if I get a chance to stop her one day without making her feel like shes being stalked, I'll find out what I can. |

Thanks Wendy, it's just a place marker for now. :oops: I have one of a 2002 EB parked next to a 2002 SG that will replace it. ;)

We ordered ours in July of 2002 and took delivery in October of 2002. In early January we went to our first meet and greet. It was with the DC Metro MINI folks. I won a MINI watch for putting the most miles on our car in the shortest amount of time. We had 11,000 miles in just over two months. Don |

That SG was a beautiful MINI, Sherry :).
I put my deposit down in June 2001 (very first) and bought my first one in April 2002 along with Mugami 8). It was a pre-spec'd car from MINIUSA and something like the 21st or 22nd car sold at Crown.
Took delivery of my 2nd MINI in May 2003.
Visited MINI Oxford factory and JCW showroom September 2004.
Now on my 3rd MINI which I took delivery of in August 2006 :D
