I can vouch for the quality. I have one installed on my Cobalt Short Shift Kit and I love it. Let me know if anyone wants a private showing of my knob.

This could quickly turn into a MINI2 thread...  119

Thanks so much for the pointer - that was too hilarious!!!!

BTW - I have found that if you put a sock over your knob in the winter, it is not so cold to the touch. Ditto in the summer, your knob doesn't get too hot to grasp.

(my contribution to the inuendo and banter)

You should know that it gets slippery when wet. Just don't be surprised!

Fuzzy's knob gets too hot at times, but I've been able tp handle it so far. Mikey the MINI offers knob covers to match your MINI, I may order one. Ben just yanked his knob off and used it in his hotel room so it stayed warm all night. We were all surprised though when he pulled it out and showed it to us in the restaurant.

I'm going to order a knob for Venus, our newest MINI. Do they polish them there or do I have to get my knob polished locally? Also, where would I get one of those matching knob warmers/covers/socks?

Do you have the address for Mickey?

Yes, Mikeythemini is a MINI2 sponsor, I wish he were local!

I'm also considering a golf club head cover for my shifter . Lots of different ones available, especially animals.

I saw that and was really impressed but I don't think that is for me. Doesn't the knob get in the way sometimes? What if you lose it? It would be horrible to run around knobless.

I guess you could always keep a spare knob around but that may get confusing... which is the primary knob, which is the "spare," do you need to give the spare equal attention (I mean if it is left unused for long periods of time, will it still work?)

Another thing to consider Riqui is whether the spare knob would get polished often enough. I find I can only give proper attention to one knob at a time, no matter how convenient a spare knob could be.

I think it's awful to cover your knobs.  Such beauty should never be hidden.  Show it with pride.

It sounds to me that they are merely showing how well they take care of their knobs....keeping them warm in the winter...cool to the touch in the summer; gosh I think they truly care about their knobs' well being.  :hugs:
