Hi,
I have a 2005 Cooper S with 17 inch run flats.
I would like to get some new tires but I don't want run flats anymore.
Any suggestions on the make or sizes.
I like performance tires but the run flats are too stiff and they are also
very expensive.
Thanks

I'm very new to these forums so please have mercy on me.

Try these. Excellent all around tire and outstanding value.

Obe will moderate me for saying
"What Homer said."
I am on my second set of Falkens, the first set is on a MINI running
around Kiev, Ukrain right now. Good tires, good price. About two day
delivery from Edge.

Joe's Tire for mounting. Thanks to Don for sharing that info.

Sherry gave mine a test today on an onramp. She said more body roll than she was used to with the runflats on the GP, but better grip. Of course mine have body roll, I am running 15". :smt026

The Falkens are nice.
If I remember something Don said correctly Joe's will also match on line vendor prices. Definitely worth asking.

I run (on the street) Goodrich Traction T/As. 215 -50 16s.
Been very happy with them and they do fit on stock 6.5" wide wheels. Good in the rain.

You really need to state a price range though. We can yap about tires costing from $90 to 200+ ea. But a little more definition of the target would be helpful.

Then we can yap some more.

Thanks for all the info.

I don't mind paying up to maybe 150-175 for them but of course I'd like a good tire for a reasonable price. I'm not doing any serious racing or
cornering right now, but may be into putting my mini through some paces in the future. I'd love to see how far I can push her before she revolts.
Thanks.

Just back toward Norfolk from Checkered Flag MINI, across the street.

Can be recognized by the screaming orange and yellow paint job on the outside, and the Rolls inside with 24" Dub wheels on it. Don't let the looks
fool you, they are nice people and do very good work at a reasonable price.

The counter guys are really cool tho, so don't be turned off. I carried in my bare Konig Rewind wheels and new tires, and when I went to pay the tab the counter guy asked, "Those are going on a MINI Cooper, aren't they?" I said yes, and he replied with "I KNEW it when I saw the wheels".    8)
