Well, I've done two pulley installs so far, and I've got a third one scheduled for Saturday, so I'm feeling pretty comfortable with the procedure.

If anyone has a pulley they want installed, or have been considering getting one but have been put off by the high price of having it professionally installed, let me know and I'd be happy to help install it.  I have all of the required tools, so you would just have to bring your car.

Along with the pulley install on John DiGiorgio's car, we also removed his boot and bonnet stripes and polished up the paint to remove all evidence of the stripes, so if anyone else would like that done, I'm pretty comfortable with that as well.

Car/bike detailing has been one of my hobbies for about twenty years now, so if there's anything you need done, I can probably do it.  Just ask Riqui or John about the obscene amount of detailing chemicals and tools in my garage!

I know Rex wants to install the crank pulley. Have you done that one yet?

Maybe we could do a detailing clinic?  I've got a ton of questions about "to Zanio" or not ..... " you say Zanio and I say Zymol.... let's wash the car now......    sorry, I drifted away for a moment.

Talk amongst yourselves.

I have the Alta Carl, but I wouldn't hesitate to get the Webb either.  I'd say go for the best price.  The Alta is a little more plain, the Webb bright red... not that you can see it very well either way once installed!

sence the Web is Red, it will make my MINI go faster than the Black one right. ;-)

I don't have a tool to remove the crank pulley, or any experience with doing crank pulley swaps, but if anyone wants to come over and borrow my tools/garage, I'd be happy to help and learn.

A detailing clinic sounds great.  I have stocks of Zaino and Menzerna for the synthetic coatings, and Meguiar's and a few other brands for the carnauba folks.  I can also demonstrate the differences between rotary polishers and random-orbit polishers.  (We have a 25-year old ex-farm truck that has examples of just about every kind of paint flaw imaginable for demonstrations.)

I've also got a couple different kinds of paint clay, wheels cleaners, quick detailers, and pretty much anything else you'd like to play with.

If we did a big detailing clinic, we'd probably want to wait until the spring, but if anyone wants to brave the cold in the meantime, you're welcome to come over and try out anything you'd like.

Hello All;

Scott has the entire line of Griot's Garage (the good stuff) and was very kind to detail my car! He also got the pulley installed in around 2 or 3 hrs(right Scott?) with no problems. I am very happy with the look and feel of the car now. I also learned how to use a clay bar!

Thanks again Scott.

I'm helping Christian do his pulley install tomorrow morning.  Going to be cold, but since we both have some experience, we're pretty confident that it should go smoothly.

A detailing clinic would be cool, as I'm up in the air about claybarring and Zaino.

Rcooper and MikeJCW from Richmond did a Zaino clinic last year, they are both amazing! But would be nice to have another one if we get a warm day, I need to do the treatment on my GP.
