I think BJ has referred S&I to the list before and I believe that some HRMINI visited there last week for wheels and tires, but let me second that referral.

I have known Mike Robinson at S&I for about 7-8 years since we used to go to church together.  He did all the maintenance/repairs on my vehicles before MINIs became our automobile of choice.  His shop specializes in Tuning, Parts, and Repair work on BMW as well as other imports.  He has been involved in racing BMWs for some time and he had just dropped in a new motor in his race car today.  He is also a Tire Rack authorized sales/service provider.

He swapped out a wheel for me today that I had curb rashed a few weeks ago as well as got out the oil plug that was stuck big time.  Of course, we swapped out oil/filter and installed a Fumoto Oil Drain valve so the next time I do a oil change between MINI service intervals all I will have to do is open the valve.  Great work, great service and I was in and out in no time.

So if you are in need of his services give him a call.

Thanks Larry.
Glad to hear you got that plug removed. That was such a bummer.

Yeah, he had to use a pneumatic tool to get it out after about 20 minutes of trying to the old fashioned way like we did at BJ's house.  It was really in there and thanks by the way on the referral on the fumoto oil valve.  I won't be having any problems with oil plugs anymore.  :-)

He just put on some new booties for Peanut last week. Marty took her in, so I didn't meet Mike, but he only had good things to say.

I had them replace some control arm bushings about three or four weeks ago and was very pleased. I would definitely recommend their shop!
