 Stopped by the Store The Best of British @ 50 Old Hampton Lane in the downtown area (Hampton) to see the newest owners,Elizabeth & David Martin. I just can't get enough of those English crisps (Flavored Potato Chips) to us Yanks. Anyway, they know a gal who does the embroidery work you see alot of these days on jackets and golf shirts etc... They had some hand towels with an MG and a Morgan done on them that were quite impressive. So I asked about doing a couple with MINIs on them to match the colors of the two in our household. They said they would be only too happy to oblige. Got the call today that there done and in, so I'll swing by this weekend to pick em up. I'll let you all know what I think of them, and if you would like to purchase some yourself, stop in and place an order with Elizabeth and David, who are  two very enthusiastc Brits, who would love to be swamped by a group of MINIs one day. But in the meantime, feel free to stop in one at a time and chat, browse or even purchase some of those crisps...just make sure you save me a few bags of Smoky Bacon. Call for hours of operation @ 757-723-7480 and tell them John and Barb sent Ya.

;-) Picked up the towels today and was quite pleased with the results. They were done with the classic Mini in green and another in black. Once I figure out how to put a picture in here, I'll try and do that. :!: I also asked if the new MINI could be done as well and the owner did not see any problem with that. Stop by and see what other English, and Scotish goods...etc are available 002

We'll have to check it out.   We like going to the Scottish House in Merchants Square, but The Best of the British is much closer. Plus it looks like the outside ice skating rink is across the street. Might make for a fun afternoon. :P

:D Yes, Ice  skating is available just across the street at the Air and Space Museum. Looks like fun, I'm an old Ohio skater myself. The big diffrence is Best of British is more a food style store whereas the Scottish House is an excellent supplier of fine clothing and apparell.
