HRMINI  Through the Years (sample slide of our past adventures)

Don and Steph discovered the Dragon at Deals Gap, and led the fledgling group to the first ever MINIs on the Dragon! When every car was different, there were no clubs, and everyone who owned a MINI wanted to talk to everyone else. Then there was MINI Cooper days at The BMW plant in South Carolina. MINI owners parked in front of the Classics, and were given a tour of the BMW plant. These traveling folks were the beginning of HRMINI.

By June 4th, 2003 the HRMINI site was created by AprilWhine and Fuzzy on Yahoo. Defined as a "Social club for owners and admirers of the MINI in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia". It was a place to share stories and tech advice from other MINI owners.

HRMINI had its first major site update on April 11th, 2006 and has grown to include over 230 members. With the changing of hands due to Sherry and Jim leaving the area, this club will once again take on another update in September 2007.

No matter how many changes that may occur over time, HRMINI will always be a club that belongs to the people, and that any member can organize, suggest, or throw any event they like. No dues, no rules beyond the courtesies you should expect from your fellow man/woman.

We have grown over the years and made many new friends. We have won Car show awards, festival awards, helped bring a world record to America, picked up new hobbies, and saw sites we may have not on our own. Thanks to all our members who have kept HRMINI a club not just for the car, but about the MINI/Mini owners, their families, friends, and even pets too.
